Queen Elizabeth national park is located in   Southwestern   Uganda, near   Kasese. And  it   takes   5-6 hours from Kampala on a surfaced road via   Mbarara, and it covers an area of about 1978 km2; its position provides a magnificent view of the rift valley floor that is occupied by Lake Edward and George. Its an habitat of about 95 mammal   , 612 species of birds. Launch trips on the   Kazinga Channel offer great game viewing, Also   chimp tracking in Kyambura Gorge and guided walk in  Maramagambo Forest Queen Elizabeth National Park contains the most astonishing number of species – almost 100 types of mammal and 606 different birds! The Kasinga Channel alone is said to contain large number  of  hippos, crocodiles! Other wildlife includes warthogs, buffalo, rare aquatic sitatunga antelope, giant forest hog, beautifully horned Uganda kob, topi, waterbuck, elephant and leopard. There are no giraffe, zebra, impala or rhino.
